One piece a day
There is no need to learn everything at once. The rook today, the bishop tomorrow.
For the youngest, from age 4
Pick a piece. The green dots show where it can go. Then try to collect the stars in as few moves as you can.
Rook: Moves straight: forward, back, left and right, as many squares as it likes.
Tap a square with a green dot and the piece will go there.
For the parent
There is no need to learn everything at once. The rook today, the bishop tomorrow.
Before tapping, the child points to where the piece will go. Then checks on the board.
In "Collect the stars" the child looks for the shortest route. That is the first step to thinking ahead.
Next step
Once the pieces move the right way, the child can try the first puzzles or play a whole game.
